Residential home renovation services
Our residential home renovation services typically involve making improvements or changes to your existing home in order to enhance its functionality, aesthetics, and overall value. These services can be tailored to meet the specific needs and desires of you, and can cover a wide range of areas within your home. Here are some common aspects of our residential home renovation services:
Kitchen Renovations: This may include updating cabinets, countertops, appliances, lighting fixtures, and flooring to create a more modern and functional space for cooking and entertaining.
Bathroom Renovations: This can involve remodeling the bathroom layout, replacing fixtures and fittings, upgrading the bathtub or shower, installing new tile or flooring, and improving storage options.
Basement or Attic Conversions: Converting an underutilized basement or attic space into a livable area can provide extra living space, such as a bedroom, office, or recreational room. This may involve insulation, flooring, wall finishes, electrical work, and plumbing if needed.
Whole Home Remodels: This comprehensive renovation involves updating multiple areas within a home, such as kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, living spaces, and exterior features, to achieve a cohesive and updated look throughout the entire residence.
Exterior Renovations: This can include refreshing the home’s exterior by replacing siding, windows, doors, or roofing. It may also involve improving outdoor spaces such as porches, patios, decks, or landscaping.
Energy Efficiency Upgrades: Renovations can focus on improving energy efficiency by installing energy-efficient windows, insulation, HVAC systems, and lighting fixtures. This helps reduce utility costs and improve the home’s comfort.
Aging-in-Place Renovations: These modifications are designed to make a home more accessible and safer for older adults or individuals with disabilities. This may include installing ramps, grab bars, walk-in tubs, widened doorways, and other features to promote mobility and independence.
Customization and Personalization: Home renovations can be tailored to reflect the homeowner’s personal style and preferences through choices in materials, finishes, colors, and layouts.

Initial phone call
During this phone call, Jimmy Richardson will learn more about the project and better understand the exact outcome you would like to achieve. We will discuss the budget you have for the project.
On-site visit
Jimmy Richardson will schedule a convenient meeting at the proposed project location. This is a free consultation.
Preliminary proposal
Next up, Richardson GC will present you with a preliminary proposal and a timeline for the project
A “contractor of choice” document is signed when Richardson GC is hired to save a start date in our schedule. We then prepare a comprehensive scope of work using proposals from sub-contractors after they have walked your site, our detailed takeoffs (how much of each material is needed to complete the job), and input from any final construction documents provided by your architect and designer, if applicable. A deposit is paid to Richardson GC to prepare this in-depth scope of work, which is 50% deducted from the last payment of the completed project.
Jimmy Richardson will sit down with you and review the detailed scope of the contract and establish an exact start date for your home remodel or renovation. A timeline is attached to the agreement that details each phase of construction, when the various stages will start, and how long each phase will take.
